ENVIRONMENTS
SUPERVISOR
-
Supervise a small team of modeling,
surfacing/lighting, and matte painting artists in the creation and
execution of photoreal, digital environments incorporating 3D hand
surface objects and digital matte paintings (2D, 2.5D, 3D
projections)
-
Work with other Supervisors to
integrate models/environments into shots, and to help streamline
and optimize work flow of these
assets
-
Basic knowledge of 3ds Max
essential
- Experience with VRay a big plus
-
Expert knowledge of Photoshop
preferred
-
Experience with other 3D and paint/texture
software packages (LightWave, Maya, Mudbox, Zbrush, etc.) a
plus.

Minimum 4-5 years feature film experience,
including specific experience as a Lead or
Supervisor
-
Candidate must possess a good eye for
photoreal lighting and natural atmospheric effects, with a strong
attention to detail
-
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem
solve under production pressures and tight
deadlines.

Ability to relocate to Los
Angeles or currently reside
here.
SURFACING/LIGHTING TD
MATTE PAINTER
-
Minimum 3 year matte painting experience in a
production environment
-
Experience with advanced matte painting
techniques, including appropriate layering, scene management and
reference gathering
-
Excellent skills in Photoshop and BodyPaint
3D, open to other programs
-
Good knowledge of the basic principles of 2D
texture projections in 3ds Max, Maya or similar 3D application
-
Technical experience in photography or
lighting with an emphasis on color and composition
-
UV mapping workflow experience a plus
-
Excellent oral and written communication
skills
-
Outstanding organizational skills and the
ability to multitask
-
Ability to take direction positively, work
well within a team and thrive under the pressure of tight
deadlines
FX TECHNICAL
DIRECTOR
-
Work on complex visual effects animation
problems such as the realistic fluids, fire (smoke, etc.), debris,
cloth and hair
Create photo realistic moving images using
3ds Max, Maya, and other 2D and 3D
software
Big pluses are experience in one or more of
the following: fluids, Fume FX, thinking particles, particle flow,
and Havok (rigid body sim
engine).
Work closely with lighters and animators to
provide for the seamless integration of visual effects animation
elements with computer generated imagery generated by other
departments.
Good understanding of real world phenomena,
composition, physical motion, weight, balance, texture and
form
At least 3 years technical direction
experience or examples of demonstrating
equivalent
Must have completed multiple, complex FX
shots on a feature VFX film.
Eduction in computer science, mathematics,
physics, or engineering is preferred a big plus but not
essential
Strong knowledge of both 2D and 3D computer graphics
techniques
Strong understanding
of the CG pipeline
Scripting and shading experience
preferred
Ability to problem solve and predict potential
problems with assigned tasks.

SR. NUKE COMPOSITOR

Minimum 4 years compositing
experience in feature film production, including at least 2 years
specifically in
Nuke.
Additional After Effects

Should possess a keen eye

matching
Experience with complex
matte extractions and motion
tracking
Should have strong aptitude
for technical workflow challenges such as directory structure,
file formats, naming conventions, scripts, automation tools,
automated dailies, etc.
Should have high level
knowledge of compositing workflow and the compositing application
interface
Outstanding organizational

DIRECTOR
At least 2 years feature film

ADMINISTRATOR
Maintaining and extending a multiple thousand
core and multiple hundred terabyte production
environment
Minimum 2-4 years in related
roll
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or
other technical field
Experience administrating multiple operating
systems, including Windows, Mac OS and Unix
Experience with distributed filesystems like
Lustre, Isilon, etc., a plus
Experience with one or more administrative
scripting languages (Perl, Python, Bash,
etc.)
Familiarity with networking and distributed
computing, including network file systems, routing and
subnetting
Fluency with common network protocols and
their implementations and management: DNS, NFS, directory
services, SSH/SSL and security protocols
Experience with performance analysis and
tuning of operating systems and networks
Programming experience in a procedural or
functional language a plus
Some knowledge of 2D & 3D graphics tools,
(e.g. After Effects, 3ds Max, Maya, etc.) a plus
Strong scientific troubleshooting &
debugging skills
Some flexibility
in work hours. The Technology Team is committed to working at a
